About Us

Compassion Ministry Resources grows out of the ministry experience of Dr. Perry and Tonya Hancock, who have spent many years serving churches, women, children, families, and communities through Christian compassion ministry.

Dr. Perry Hancock served as a pastor for 10 years, served as a professor at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary while leading students to do compassion ministry in the community, and then served for over 22 years as President and CEO of the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home and Family Ministries.

Tonya Hancock served for many years as Executive Director of the Women’s Learning Center in Monroe, Louisiana, walking alongside women facing generational poverty, homelessness, abandonment, abuse, recovery, and other difficult life circumstances. She has served on both state and national levels equipping, training, and consulting with leaders of adult compassion ministries.

Through Compassion Ministry Resources, Perry and Tonya offer conferences, workshops, training sessions, books, devotionals, curriculum, and practical resources to help churches, ministries, leaders, teachers, and volunteers serve with compassion and clarity.

Their heart is to encourage those who serve and to help strengthen ministries that offer dignity, hope, practical help, and the love of Christ to women and families in need.
